It is now the season for flowers and to celebrate this fact and raise some money, Village Care New York held a flower themed fashion fundraiser which they called ‘ Tulips and pansies: The Headdress Affair.’ The show spectacularly combined flowers and fashion for a fun fundraising evening.

Fashion designers teamed up with florists for the event which is held each year in New York. The designers and florists worked together to create some amazingly extravagant headpieces which accompanied equally outrageous outfits. You could not move for roses, lilies and a vast array of foliage on the night. James Aguiar from Style Network hosted the event which featured work from designers including Tory Burch and Ralph Rucci.

The night featured lots of vintage style fashion and as well as the many flowers present, there was a healthy dose of feathers too. Lace was also a pretty big look on the evening which raised much needed funds for a very good cause. Some of the best headdress designs included a birds nest, a Cleopatra style and floppy brimmed hat made completely from roses. The creativity was definitely flowing and the evening was a huge success.
