There are some expensive jeans out there which can be bought off the rack for as much as $300, but the most expensive jeans that have ever been purchased were a regular pair of 501 Levi jeans. What makes them different from the ones we buy in the high street is that they were manufactured in the 1800’s which makes them one of the originals. The pair were bought by a Japanese collector 5 years ago for $60,000.

We have all splashed the cash when it comes to buying our jeans, or even bought more pairs than we really need but now we needn’t feel so guilty. Scientists have completed a study which shows that the jeans in our wardrobes have given us the best value for money. This is because if you divide the cost of the jeans by the number of times you have worn them, the cost is lower than any other item in an average person’s wardrobe.
