Penelope Cruz Hosts Domino Party
When we think of dominoes, we usually think of it as a game played in dingy pubs by old men or a game to pass the time with the children on a rainy day, but, dominoes has surprised everyone by becoming the latest craze with A-list celebrities. Fans of dominoes include Madonna and the Beckham’s amongst others.
Penelope Cruz was in Cannes and had to drag herself out from bed, where she was suffering with a bout of food poisoning, in order to host a dominoes party in aid of charity. The Spanish beauty, who was suffering with gastric flu, was joined at the event by many other famous faces in, Orlando including Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Lily Cole and Peaches Geldof. The party was held in a huge and beautiful villa high in the hills of Cannes.
The guests were treated to vodka cocktails as they listened to a live jazz band who played around the huge pool. The guests played Hollywood dominoes which is like the traditional game of dominoes, except, the players lay down tiles in order to become a famous film director. Despite her illness, Penelope looked great and was the perfect hostess on the night.
